Hello, we’re the Taylor family.

Erin will be serving as the Lead Planting Pastor. She’s a visionary leader, dynamic communicator, and daughter of a church planter (and she was born in the Pacific Northwest!).

Erin and her husband, Dan, are truly a team.

Dan is a gifted educator and people magnet and excels at creating serious fun.

Together they have four amazing kids

Will, 12

Mr. Personality and athlete

Noah, 11

Full of life and witty

Jake, 11

‘80s pop culture collector

Anna Kate, 7

Fearless and fun

Erin and Dan met while studying for full-time ministry at Anderson University (Anderson, IN) in the surprisingly romantic class of Biblical Greek.

After marrying (2003), Dan and Erin called Central Indiana home for the next 14 years.

During this time, Erin served 13 years as an associate pastor at Church at the Crossing, a large Church of God congregation.

Over the years, Dan and Erin have answered the undeniable and faith-filled God question,

“Are you open to what I have for you?”

It is funny when you answer YES to a God question: your yes tends to open doors to larger God-sized visions than what you could hope or imagine.

This yes turned into God creating a family that includes adopted and biological children.

God asked if Erin and Dan were open to the family God had for them.

God asked if Dan was ready for a career change from the Residential Sales Industry.

This yes led Dan into the incredible ministry of being an award-winning public school teacher.

This yes led to their family moving to the Central Michigan town of Alma, where Erin has served as the Lead Pastor at Alma Church of God.

God asked Erin if she was ready to become a lead pastor in early 2018.

In the fall of 2023, God asked again,

“Taylor family, are you open to what I have for you?”

The Taylor family is all in. They are ready to fully invest in Hillsboro through Dan’s work in education and Erin’s work as the Lead Pastor for the Hillsboro Project.

This most recent yes is what opened the door to conversations with the Restart Board for the Hillsboro Project.

God has affirmed and planted a passion in the Taylor Family to move and call Hillsboro home.
